WSU Cultural Affairs 2009 - 2010 Season

  • Dear Friends,

gather_ca_2009-10brochure_page_01Why do we come together for performance?

Of course, there are amazing artists on the series and the chance to sit in the same room with them is rare and wonderful. But I believe that we also have a profound need to gather. We desire to sit with a self-selected community and share an experience. People gather for many reasons: politics, religion, performance, festivals, sports… and they recognize the value of what brings them together. But the simple act of gathering is also important and feeds the experience. Running a marathon with 5000 other people is very different than running 26.2 miles alone. Both have value and the values are unique. This season we have the opportunity to gather and enjoy fine artists as they visit Ogden on the Cultural Affairs.

Please Join us for a preview of our 2009 - 2010 Season.

Chanticleer Delivers at Weber's Austad Auditorium

Chanticleer delivered a captivating performance at Weber's Austad Auditorium on Saturday night to an excited and appreciative crowd.  Chanticleer performed a diverse reprertoir of compositions that left their fans amazed, laughing, and wanting more. The evening's program title "in time of..." is taken from an e. e. cummings poem of the same name. It was arranged for choral ensemble by Steven Sametz and closed the first half the performance.
