On Saturday, October 2nd the traditional Irish folk sounds of Lunasa permeated the Allred Theater at Weber State University. As part of Weber State’s Cultural Affairs program under the College of Arts and Humanities, the talented quintet adorned the audience with echoic sounds of Ireland’s past. Named for the ancient Irish harvest festival Lughnasadh, Lunasa tours for the majority of every year and has recently been to Asia, Europe, and parts of the Americas. They will be making their way through Switzerland towards the end of October. They are known for the authentic energy of their compositions, and enjoy a booming reputation in Ireland and the rest of the world “…the hottest Irish acoustic band on the planet.” -Irish Voice
